Night before class with visions of sugar plums dancing in my head.

I have been looking at food photography all day: good food photos, bad food photos, strange food photos. So many photos that I wanted so share some.

Look at this... just look... take in all in. Now imagine yourself alone in hot room with no air conditioning and this salad. Feel the mayo melting!

There is no way this girl is letting anyone have a piece of her birthday cake. She looks like a biter!

This hero of the pizza wars of 1985 lost an eye fighting the Ninja Turtles for the rights to live, love, and be covered in pepperoni.

You are so right about that first photo. It reminds me of the images in my Mother's old recipe index-box thing.... Very 1950s, very Technicolor, with lots of lard, egg yolks, and (yes) mayonnaise making appearances in ingredient lists.

Living in a city like Baltimore and having a name like Callan Vallancourt Silver it is hard not to be an unusual person. But with all of that unusualness I try to use it only for good and never for evil. Originally from Connecticut I moved to the city to attend college at Maryland Institute College of Art. After graduating I decided to stay because of the wonderful artist community in the city and the wonderful man I call my husband. Currently I am in grad school at university of Baltimore studying Publication Design, learning how to create beautiful and effective designs.
