Anyways, my research is going well. I have learned some of the history of the asparagus officinalis. Asparagus played an important role in the ancient world. It was pictured on as an offering on an Egyptian frieze dated 3000 BC. It also was used as a medicine by the ancient Romans and Greeks. Not sure if I will use any of this information in the project 1 assignment, but I found it to be pretty cool anyway.

Late Night Snack
Up late doing research on on my ingredient (asparagus) for one of my concepts and the musical Oliver! popped into my head and I thought I would share it with all of you out there. Perhaps you too were thinking how glorious food can be especially after all the research.

That is interesting. I never knew that about asparagus. If there is more information about how asparagus was used in Rome/Greece, it may be a good article for National Geographic or a publication like that...just a thought.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking that too. I am still working on my concepts for class tomorrow.
