Call to action

Here is a great example of a campaign that uses a metaphorical effect to get their point across. By showing a very jaring  image of a little boy with a bag over his head made up of smoke, the people behind this ad are demonstrating what it is like for a young child in a household where smokers light up with children around. The call to action is very simple here: don't smoke around kids.

  1. Both the anti-smoking image and seatbelt video are very powerful! What I think they both share is that they show the effects your actions have on another human being. It is easy to ignore the bad things we do to ourselves and our bodies, but harder to ignore them when someone else is involved. Great examples!

  2. I went from looking at Vanessa's blog post of cute animal pictures...to this intense image, oh my! Very effective ad. Made me stop to read the call to action.

  3. Yikes! Yes a very powerful image...makes me uncomfortable looking at it, very effective. One can only hope that people who smoke around kids have the same response.

  4. Did you know that even the smell of cigarette smoke on your clothes is unhealthy for children to inahle? I know this because I have a niece and nephews and I am always battling cigarette addiction so I quit when I am around them. I don't mean to judge, but I don't understand how a parent could smoke in the house or car or in front of their kid at all.
